About ASEAN4TB Symposium 2026

           The ASEAN4TB Symposium will take place at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, on 1–2 July 2026, bringing together TB experts and country representatives to share national progress in combating tuberculosis. The event will feature panel discussions, selected oral abstract presentations, and a poster exhibition showcasing selected tuberculosis-related research. A formal research MoU signing ceremony will also be held to finalize the collaborative agreements for each ASEAN4TB topic area, marking a key milestone in strengthening ASEAN’s united response to TB.

This symposium brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and innovators to accelerate progress toward ending TB through evidence-based solutions and collaborative action.

1. AI-Focused Innovation — Improving TB Diagnosis with AI and Digital Technologies

   Exploring the use of AI, imaging tools, and digital platforms to enhance accuracy and efficiency in TB diagnosis.

2. Active Case Finding — Strengthening Active Case Finding in Communities and Hard-to-Reach Populations Highlighting proactive approaches to identify TB cases through community engagement and outreach strategies.

3. New Regimen — Advancing Research and Access to New, Shorter TB Treatment Regimens Focusing on clinical research and pathways that support wider access to shorter, more effective TB treatments.

4. Extrapulmonary TB — Enhancing Detection and Clinical Management of Extrapulmonary TB

   Strengthening diagnostic capacity and clinical management of extrapulmonary TB through improved evidence and practice
