About Asean4TB Coalition

We began as an initiative rooted in shared public health challenges across Southeast Asia, driven by Universitas Indonesia after receiving the ASEAN Research Collaborative Fund (ARCF) grant in February 2025 through the ASEAN Medical Schools Network (AMSN). It soon became clear that tackling tuberculosis required more than isolated efforts—it needed a unified regional platform capable of accelerating innovation, strengthening capacity, and ensuring equitable research opportunities. Today, this vision has materialized as the ASEAN for Tuberculosis Coalition (ASEAN4TB), named for its four strategic focus areas and serving as a collaborative hub that brings ASEAN countries together under the shared mission of “One Region, One Goal: End TB.”

What we do

The ASEAN4TB Coalition is a regional initiative dedicated to ending tuberculosis through four principal focus areas—hence the name ASEAN4TB—comprising ACHIEVE-TB (AI-based diagnostics and digital tools), CATCH-TB (case detection and community engagement), ANTERA (therapeutic innovation and clinical research), and ACE-TB (extrapulmonary TB management). Each focus area will develop a dedicated research MoU, which will be formally signed during the ASEAN4TB Symposium on 1–2 July 2026.
